Dear Kym, Brava to you! Eating disorder recovery has a long, broad and deep reach. Your recovery work helps your children and everyone who is touched by your presence. Your courage and determination to be well overpowers the negativity of the eating disorder itself. Parents have a huge influence on their children. And most of that influence comes from who the parents authentically are and how they act in the world. Your children continue to learn recovery from you and are passing it on in their community. Your determination to be free of your eating disorder is affecting hundreds if not thousands of people. Isn't that wonderful? It's the reason why my work as a psychotherapist in the field of eating disorders is so gratifying. Thank you for this post, Kym. You are spreading recovery.
