I don't know if this makes any sense, but I think newer secrets that touch upon past secrets or open up old wounds are probably the hardest to disclose and the hardest to deal with... ....maybe there's a sense of feeling foolish or stupid and self-blame with those that tells you that you should've known better than to expect anything different than what you got?
